The Preparation

The
collection of the kit at the Royale Motor Co. As you can see on the right the complete kit, included the chassis and
body, fit in a regular van (Ford Transit).

The
preparation: On these pictures you can see the different stages of the project. At first I painted the chassis with
zinc-epoxy primer and a black poly-urethane topcoat. Because I
was not content with the result on long term, I have sand blasted these coatings
off and recoated the chassis with a professional (ship) coating system. Although most parts are galvanized, I have
sprayed them in a black color paint. After cleaning I lifted the engine, rolled the chassis under it and put the engine
in position. Except for the painting, It cost me two Saturdays to
produce a rolling chassis including the engine and gear-box.
